Services

Four service lines, all delivered by our own staff: rooftop photovoltaic installation, battery storage, grid-tie inverter supply and commissioning, and ongoing maintenance.

Residential rooftop PV

This is the core of our business. We install monocrystalline modules in the 420 W to 460 W class on pitched and flat residential roofs. Mounting hardware is anodised aluminium rail on stainless fixings, selected to match the roof covering: hanger bolts into the rafters for tile roofs, clamp brackets for standing-seam and trapezoidal metal sheet, and ballasted or chemically anchored frames on flat concrete.

Before any quotation we confirm three things on site: that the roof structure can carry the additional load, that the covering has enough remaining service life to justify putting an array on it, and that the orientation and pitch give a sensible yield. A south-facing pitch between 25 and 40 degrees is ideal, but east-west split arrays work well for households that consume most of their power in the morning and evening. We will tell you plainly if your roof is a poor candidate rather than sell you a system that will disappoint.

Cabling is run in UV-resistant conduit, DC isolators are fitted at the array and at the inverter, and the system is bonded to the building earth with a dedicated conductor. Every array we install includes surge protection on both the DC and AC sides, which is not universal in this market but matters on rural feeders.

Battery storage

We supply lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery packs from 5 kWh to 30 kWh, in wall-mounted and floor-standing formats. LFP is our default chemistry because of its cycle life and its tolerance of partial-state-of-charge operation, which suits a household that charges from a roof rather than from a schedule.

Storage is fitted in one of two configurations. An AC-coupled retrofit adds a battery inverter alongside an existing PV system and needs no changes to the array. A hybrid installation uses a single inverter that handles both the panels and the battery, which is cheaper and tidier when the whole system is new. Either way we install an automatic transfer arrangement so that a nominated set of circuits — usually lighting, the boiler pump, the fridge and a few sockets — stays live when the grid drops.

Grid-tie inverters

We stock single-phase inverters from 3 kW to 8 kW and three-phase units from 5 kW to 50 kW. Selection depends on your array size, your connection type and whether you intend to add storage later; we size the inverter to the array with a modest DC overload ratio so that it spends more of its operating hours near its efficient band.

Commissioning includes setting the grid protection parameters required by the distribution operator, registering the unit for remote monitoring, and handing you a login so you can see production per string. All inverters we sell come with a web and mobile portal, and we configure alerting so that a fault reaches us as well as you.

Maintenance contracts

An annual contract covers one scheduled visit per year: visual inspection of modules and mounting hardware, torque check on structural fixings, thermal inspection of DC and AC terminations, inverter firmware update, cleaning of the array, and a written performance report comparing measured output against the modelled figure. Contracts run from 1,200 MDL per year for a 3 kW system. Callouts outside the contract are billed at an hourly rate plus travel, quoted before we dispatch.
